Landal Gwel an Mor is one of the South West’s flagship holiday resorts, specialising in luxury lodge holidays on Cornwall’s north coast as well as holiday home ownership. The resort is also home to a variety of different facilities and activities, and is billed as Cornwall’s alternative to Center Parcs.

A new website that not only raised the bar in terms of visual appearance but one that was also far easier to navigate and use – and performed better in search engines such as Google.

Our bold new design for Landal Gwel an Mor raised the bar significantly. The resort is blessed with a stunning location and the new design sells this perfectly. Gone too are the cluttered menus and copy-heavy pages. New page layouts and a slick design now allows users to easily flow between relevant sections of content while the stunning range of luxury accommodation now gets star billing.View the website
One of the main priorities of this project was to enhance user experience, with the main issue on the previous website being cluttered and confusing navigation. We achieved this with a simplified menu and new landing pages, which act as signposts for users to delve deeper into the site.
Through each menu item comes a different colour for the main header titles and buttons. Continuing the colourful editorial theme through to each different section of the website.
Our design for the online booking steps makes the user feel they are still part of Gwel an Mor's website when in actual fact they are looking at a third party provider's steps.
Don’t just take our word for it…
We were looking to overhaul our website, to offer a better user experience and increase conversions. Website design and technology had evolved sharply since our last website build had taken place and mobile continues to be more and more important.
So, for this project, we wanted a thorough overhaul of the mobile user experience as well as review all other ways that the website can be improved.
Pitched were talking our language and, along with their industry knowledge and experience, their attitude towards putting the mobile user first helped us to choose them for our project.
We wanted to stand out from the crowd and showcase our fantastic offering here at Landal Gwel an Mor, whilst improving on the call to actions across the site, again with a particular emphasis on mobile devices.
We are absolutely stoked with our new website and how it is performing. The editorial feel and flow helps its premium standing and, along with the new mobile experience and newly designed booking process, it has taken us to the next level. We are also really chuffed that it was highly commended by the Good Web Guide! We are really pleased with the decision to choose Pitched and are continuing to work with them on other projects.
